This was a great collections of songs which were recorded in a small studio in Lancaster PA at a cost of about $5000. It was done on Tascam 8 track 1/2 inch. I still have the masters. The pressing of Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" were temporarily put on hold so they could press my first 1000 copies! (in NJ). The quality is not the greatest but this was way before you could make digital recordings for peanuts. I financed the production out of pocket and sold them all at performances. Most of these old records were autographed, and many were sold in Menorca, Spain, my home in the late 70s and eighties. If you want to hear any more of my music (10 albums to date) with great songs and contemporary quality, go to my website, davidfishel.net.

Dave has been performing guitar and vocal music professionally since 1970 having learned to play the guitar during his four years as a student at the Philadelphia College of Art from 1964 to 1968He studied for a short time with John Pilla (accompanist for Doc Watson) and was influenced by the folk revival which was prevalent at the time (see other influences). Dave began writing songs in 1968 and in 1976 he produced his first album of original compositions 'Food for Thought' , followed by 'Child of the Sixties' in 1980, 'Watching from the Other Side' in 1982 , The World's Most Dangerous Man' in 1985 , 'Graven Images' in 1990 , 'Back Again' in 1992 , 'Brandy of the Damned' in 1999, 'Bad Hair Day' in 2005, 'Escaping Criticism' in 2009 and 'Now and Then' in 2012. In 1977 Dave moved to Menorca to establish residence thereand performed live throughoutMenorca from 1977-1997.Dave has also performed in folk clubs and restaurants in Amsterdam and London. From 1977-1997 Dave lived in the Spanish Mediterranean Island of Menorca and entertained in hotels, clubs and restaurants for thousands of visitors from virtually every country in Europe, Australia, Africa and the Middle East. Is wonderful that we can all (appear to be) so knowledgeable at the click and a scroll of the mouse

Au dos de la pochette on peut lire l'annotation suivante : « This album is dedicated to all of the people I have yet to meet and all of the places I have yet to see. » David Fishel. Rick Gladfeiter, créateur de la pochette, répond en partie à nos interrogations : "Dave is a free spirit, searching for that certain freedom hidden in everyone. His songs reflect this, especially when your hear them in a "pure listening" frame of mind they're truly "Food For Thought". This first release showing unusual talent with words and music, only wets the appetite for more of his uniquely melodic and profoundly poetic offerings. Hopefully, there will be more tasty "Food" from his lyrics recipes to satisfy our starving desire to think in a thougtless age.From:http://www.thestrangeexperienceofmusic.com/article-10379290.htmlYou can listen to 3 tracks on this website
