Lulu - The Greatest Hits download album

The Greatest Hits is a 2003 Lulu album charting her 40-year career in music from 1964's UK top-ten hit "Shout" through 2002's "We've Got Tonight," a UK top-five duet with Ronan Keating. It also covers everything in between, including her 1967 US No. 1 Hit "To Sir With Love", the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest winner "Boom Bang-a-Bang", the 1974 James Bond theme "The Man with the Golden Gun", and the 1993 UK No. 1 Hit "Relight My Fire" (a duet with Take That).

The final track, "First Of May" is a duet with her former husband Maurice Gibb, taken from her "An Audience With Lulu" ITV television special, making it the only song which debuted on the CD. A playful, girl group goddess in the '60s, Lulu came to prominence with the international hit "To Sir with Love" in 1967 (she had regional success with a version of the frat anthem "Shout" in 1964). Similar to contemporaries like Brenda Lee and Dusty Springfield, Lulu's raspy and rowdy singles began to peter out at the end of the decade, but she returned in the '70s with the hit "Oh Me Oh My (I'm a Fool for You Baby)," along with a string of marginally successful albums and collaborations before reinventing herself in the 1990s.

A few years ago I got an album called LuLu The Collection, which I thought that it was all of her good stuff, but I was wrong. I heard the song "Oh Me Oh My' which inspired me to look further into her stuff, and that is when I saw this and I had to get it. I was surprised and impressed. She has had some good stuff, but not very well noticed in the United States. And like another of the United Kingdom, Dusty Springfield she can sing anything from any genre. This is an outstanding album, with some songs that should have been hits here in the united States. I am sorry that they did not.
