Apex Curve - Territory download album
This Apex Curve cd is a nice break from a lot of the dance-mix music that dominated this period. They have softened the bass and let the melody and lyrics become the center of each track. As nice as this cd selection is, it would have been nice to hear more tracks that were unique. Apex Curve created music that is interesting and that has held that interest through the years. Sadly, they did not offer us more. Reply See 1 reply Notify me Helpful.

Despite this blog's tendancy to highlight the obscure synthpop, post punk, and new wave records from the 80s, I have a soft spot for 1990s synthpop. When I was in high school and college, Cause and Effect, Celebrate the Nun, Seven Red Seven, Mesh, De/Vision, and the first Iris album were my soundtrack. I bought all the CDs by Red Flag and Anything Box, not just their debuts. Hell, I even had a Red Flag T-shirt at one point. So while that sometimes belittled, often forgotten era of synthpop may be underrepresented on this blog, I suppose this post is a small way to remedy that.

The apex of a curve is its highest point. Geometric use of the term "apex" generally refers to solids or to shapes with corners such as triangles . An apex is a special type of vertex. A vertex is generally a corner of a figure, a common endpoint for two or more sides. In the case of curves, which do not have corners, a vertex is the sharpest point of the curve. Usually, this is some maximum or minimum value along the vertical axis. An apex is the highest vertex.
