The second album by English Punk-Rock band, The Jam. It was also their second album of 1977, with their debut having been released just over a half a year earlier. The album, in many ways, is a continuation of their earlier effort’s themes of teen-aged angst, anti-establishment stances, and Who/Kinks inspired riffs. The album generated one single, The Modern World, which made it to on the . This Is the Modern World Q&A. Producers Chris Parry & Vic Coppersmith-Heaven.

Features Song Lyrics for The Jam's This Is The Modern World album. All Around the World Lyrics. 5. Don’t Tell Them You’re Sane Lyrics. 6. The Modern World (Explicit Version) Lyrics. 7. The Modern World Lyrics. 8. London Traffic Lyrics.

This, combined with Paul Weller's various personal distractions and temporary lack of interest, led to less than satisfying results, especially in comparison to In the City.

Lyrics to "The Modern World" song by The Jam: This is a modern world This is the modern world What kind of a fool do you think I am? You think . .This is the modern world that I've learnt about This is the modern world, we don't need no one To tell us what's right or wrong.

INTRO This is a modern world, This is the modern world. VERSE 1 What kind of fool do you think I am? To think I know nothing of the modern world. MID EIGHT(i) All my life it's been the same, I've learnt to live by hate and pain, It's my inspiration trap. VERSE 2 I've learnt more than you'll ever know, Even at school I felt quite sure, MID EIGHT(ii) That one day I would be on top, Another dot upon the map, The teachers who said I be nothing! CHORUS This is the modern world that I've learnt about, This is the modern world we don't need no-one, To tell us whats.
