This is one of my favourite trance albums. There's lots of really good quality trance here, some beautiful, some punchy and dark but all top quality. Some of the most sublime euphoric moments are on this cd. See Adventures Of.... and Keep Moving. Goes ambient for the last couple of tracks but it rounds the album off nicely.

i love the first track. each to their own.

On the contrary, I'd say this hardly reflects the sound of Platipus. Positives include that it is well produced, has several acidic tracks, and still maintains some tranciness. Negatives include a clear cut influence by epic trance - there are several tracks that start dark, like Teeth of the Jungle, and end up very epic trance like. However, this is not necessarily a bad thing, as all of the tracks sound great, and despite it having that dramatic sound at times, its good music. I'm not going to say a track is poor just because its very epic trance styled, when it actually sounds quite good. But, if you're looking for the dark early platipus sound, this album isn't a good idea. It has traces of it, but for the most part its mixed in with happier melodies. I was expecting that sound, but was instead greeted with a very epic sound. It's not something that I really want to listen to again, but I can't say I wasted the 70 minutes I took to listen to this, either.

It's great to hear that original Platipus sound developed by the Art of Trance boys (Claudio & Simon) come back at the turn of the century with this fantastic release. Though the first track is a bland vocal-trance doozy, the rest of the release simply oozes with heavy 303s, nostalgic arpeggios, thick drums and very well thought out song structures. Claudio was always my favorite of the Platipus producers and I was worried that after "Turtle Crossing" he would fall prey to the same sound everyone else was doing (overly dramatic epic trance). Fortunately for us oldschoolers this release brought us right back to that beautiful "ambient trance" sound just with updated production this time. Do yourself a favor and find this release if you are an original trance lover, and just skip the first track ;)

No, don't skip the first track. It's a delicate, moody reworking of Floating from the first album. Nothing wrong with it.
