According to an interview with John Finley, the lead singer for the Checkmates and later the vocalist for Rhinoceros, this record was recorded in Dec. 1965 at the Peppermint Lounge in New York - at the request of Leo Pillott, director of public relations for ABC TV – intended as part of a live album soundtrack for the Batman TV series, but never used. (Members of this group later went on to form Elektra and Rhinoceros).
