Marcia Meyer – Natural Reflections. Label: Happy Onion Music Publishers – HOCD-003. Spring Reflections In 3 Movements. Reflections (Eve Of Spring). Spring (Thunderstorm).
Natural Reflections features a wonderful mix of players accompanying Marcia, including Ross Barret on flute, Patricia Dahlquist's solo vocal along with Ambient vocals contributed by Wilma Head, Simone Mueller, Shiela Gair, Shannon Rotz, Janet Hill, Connie Friesen, Joanna Lehmann, Jan Kidnie and Jacques Etiennne Brodeur. John Jacyna and Marcia worked with Engineer Al Rempel to incorporate various electronic embellishments and sampling technologies that blend transparently with the natural tone and ambience of this album
One might imagine an album called Natural Reflections would feature pieces based on nature, so it comes as a bit of a disappointment that Berlin Classics didn't follow through with its main idea for this budget compilation
Marcia Meyer - Phases (1980) A Musical Trip (1974). Masala Dosa - 77 (1979).
Reflections is Jerry Garcia's third solo album, released in 1976. Partway through production, Garcia stopped recording with his solo band and brought in the members of the Grateful Dead, who performed on four songs, plus a bonus jam from 2004 release. Three of the four Grateful Dead-performed songs had earlier live debuts: "Comes a Time" (1971), "They Love Each Other" (1973) and "It Must Have Been the Roses" (1974); "Might as Well" entered their rotation in 1976.
