Donovan's Brain is a 1942 science fiction novel by American writer Curt Siodmak. The novel became an instant classic and was adapted to movie form three times. Since then the book has become something of a cult classic, with fans including Stephen King, who discussed the novel in his 1981 book Danse Macabre and mentions it in his novel/miniseries It. Siodmak later wrote a sequel in 1968 entitled Hauser's Memory and wrote a final sequel in 1991 entitled Gabriel's Body.

The Great Leap Forward. Tiny Crustacean Light Show was a rock & roll album gone psychedelic. The Great Leap Forward works the other way around, but still focuses on tightly written songs. Still a large family, this time around the core of Donovan's Brain consists of Ron Sanchez (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Colter Langan (guitar, vocals), David Walker (vocals), and two newcomers: bassist Jeffrey Arntsen and drummer Ron Craighead. Guitarist Richard Treece and drummer Seth Lyon, two pillars of previous incarnations of the Brain, are heard on four cuts

A scattered collection of like minded friends make records. Kris came on board for the last album and added a strong voice to our mix. Her second major contribution has been to a song for a Green Monkey Christmas charity album. I had a tune that I thought could be modified for just that. i sent Kris a mix and lyrics with a couple new words to get her started. What she came back with was a very pleasant surprise. She made a small change to the arrangement and took the melody to a new level. Being the generous sort, she also did vocals for my original version. Kris has been very kind making time to contribute to Donovan's Brain

This album was recorded c. 1968 at Golden Voice Recording by Jerry Milam and unheard until 2018. Thanatopsis treats us to everything from baroque pop to psychedelic teenbeat garage. This release contains the first and only official reissue of the songs from their sought-after Golden Voice 45 as well as 10 other cuts, ranging from Mothers Of Invention inspired wackiness to sincere late ’60’s teen pop.

The band's ninth album. The reckless cross-pollination of ideas is hard to avoid in this Paisley Underground recording collective which boasts four songwriters, five vocalists and six guitar players. The track 'Lightning Life' balances dangerously on the shoulders of the thundering rhythm section powered by Ric Parnell (Atomic Rooster, Spinal Tap, . on drums, and bassist Tom Stevens. Tom Stevens (Long Ryders) was invited to join The Brain primarily to fill the bass position. Tom has also offered up his guitar skills and voice.

Genres: Sci-Fi, Horror. Yet another version of Curt Siodmak's novel about an honest scientist who keeps the brain of a ruthless dead millionaire (Donovan) alive in a tank. Donovan manages to impose his powerful. Watch Donovan's Brain movie online.
