Green Velvet - Velvet Tracks download album
Complete your Green Velvet collection. Haven't really taken much notice of the other tracks apart from THE PREACHER MAN. Its got a hard, although not fast beat, and has a male speach vocal throughout in an agressive american tone ranting on about a game called "house" in which involved having no morals and shagging anyone you want and having children with whoever you can. Sounds harsh, but it really is fantastic. Its been included on Derrick Mays "Mayday mix", and if its good enough for him, its good enough for anyone. Reply Notify me 1 Helpful.

Green Velvet is a compilation album and US debut of the artist of the same name. More or less a rehash of The Nineties (1993 . Through 1999 . ), which was released in Belgium, it did contain several other tracks that that album did not. It was also the only album of his to be released by a major label, Warner Bros. Records' short-lived F-111 imprint, in that country. Flash and Answering Machine were released as a double-A-sided maxi-single with numerous remixes.
Musically, the tracks are just as satisfying, if not more. His production frequently gains positive comparisons to the mid-to-late '80s ist jack tracks, but Green Velvet also dips into the electronic side of late '70s/early '80s post punk and early Prince. The driving, perverse nature of "Red Light" fits comfortably between the Normal's "Warm Leatherette" and Soft Cell's "Sex Dwarf," and musically sits in the company of Suicide's second album
