The Agenda! sound like the type of group that would end all their sentences with exclamation points. They pound out their songs with such unrelenting intensity that it seems like lead vocalist Justin (or Ian and Ryan on "Hard Friends!" and "No More Dancing!," respectively) is howling right in your face while the band hammers you mercilessly over the head with bass, drums, guitar, and organ. Indeed, they try a bit too hard to be energetic; a little more subtlety and variation, not to mention some more memorable songs, might make this album more interesting.

Start the Panic (Kindercore) Though Kindercore made its name on twee-pop and thrift-store techno, the Agenda! proves the Athens, G. based label has a nose for garage punk, too. An exclamation point follows the moniker for good reason, but full-throttle frenzy is the hallmark of all competent garage noise. What delineates this quintet is their ability to home that energy in on the pelvis, compelling vibration, warmth, and a soulful longing to transcend the daily rut for a couple of minutes
Start the Panic Lyrics. Disc 1. Crash! Crash! I Want The Panic! Out With The Old! In With The New! Last Chance For Action! Hit The Wall! Hard Friends! 50,000 Watts Of Love!
Start The Panic (2002). Garage rock is the new emo. Further puzzlement arouses from the this quote on the liner notes: "No Art Was Used In The Making Of This Album!" It's hard not to agree. This, at it's core, is 11 songs of cut-rate garage rock that ends before a half hour passes, so you don't get worn out on it too soon. Download the MP3s and decide for yourselves - I'm still not sure if I'm passing on this yet or not. MP3s Shake! Shake! Scream!
