Opeth - Still Life download album

Still Life is the fourth studio album by Swedish progressive metal band Opeth. The album was produced and engineered by Opeth alongside Fredrik Nordström, and released on 18 October 1999 through Peaceville Records. It was the first Opeth album to be released through Peaceville, following their departure from Candlelight and Century Black after the release of My Arms, Your Hearse, and the first album to feature Martin Mendez.

On Opeth’s fourth album Still Life, the band ’s sound continued to evolve. Like My Arms, Your Hearse, the album is a story: The main character is kind of banished from his hometown because he hasn’t got the same faith as the rest of the inhabitants there

Still Life ‎(CD, Album, Promo). Still Life ‎(Cass, Album).

Still Life is a concept album about a man who is outcast from his village for his religious beliefs. However he returns for his lover Melinda, only to see she has become a nun. Still, Melinda decides to run off with her lover, abandoning her faith. Highest possible recommendation of this undoubtable masterpiece.

Still Life is the first album recorded by Opeth's "classic" lineup: Mikael Åkerfeldt on guitar and vocals, Peter Lindgren on guitar, Martin Mendez on bass, and Martin Lopez on drums. Listening to how well this album turned out, it's not hard to understand why this is considered the group's ultimate incarnation. As the final "old" Opeth album before Steven Wilson began producing, Still Life holds up extremely well as the predecessor to Blackwater Park. I think this is due to the strong conceptual focus and inspired riffs peppered over the album's seven tracks. Blackwater Park, in comparison, excels in the acoustic department

Still Life is Opeth's 4th studio release and the first since the debut to represent a full band rather than a few permanent members playing with studio musicians. The album showcases more complex riffs and more originality due to the fact that the band is made of entirely permanent members. Another aspect of Opeth shows they are not just another metal band as well. Many of Opeth's songs enter incredibly melodic acoustic passages and give the listener a break from the huge metal riffs that pound eardrums worldwide

Pictures, videos, biodata, and files relating to Still Life (Opeth album) are also acceptable encyclopedic sources.

An Opeth album is like a journey; it travels through peaks and valleys and inspires all sorts of emotions. Still Life, after listening carefully a good six or seven times, I decided was Opeth's masterpiece; the Mona Lisa of Prog/death. The album starts off slowly, like a canoe on a quiet river: chilling acoustic guitar melodies uncomparable to anything else in the genre. This is only the intro to the opening track, "The Moor".
