Waylon Jennings - The Best Of Waylon Jennings download album

The Best of Waylon Jennings is a compilation album by American country music artist Waylon Jennings, released in 1970 on RCA Records. The LP contains several hit singles that Jennings had scored during his first four years at RCA, including "Only Daddy That'll Walk the Line.

Waylon Jennings' volume contains some of his most beloved songs, yet a few of these choices are somewhat curious. The early '70s are represented by the title cut from Honky Tonk Heroes and the reading of Kris Kristofferson's "Loving Her Was Easier (Than Anything I'll Ever Do Again)" from The Taker/Tulsa. Dreaming My Dreams," from the absolutely classic album of the same name, is here, as is "Lonesome, On'ry and Mean" from Ol' Waylon and "Don't You Think This Outlaw Bit's Done Got Out of Hand" off I've Always. Certainly one can't have everything on a 14-song compilation, but given the limitations of the format, every song should count in delivering the best representation possible of an artist's career. This one defines the superstar, but not the singer and songwriter who was the original outlaw.

This Waylon Jennings discography is ranked from best to worst, so the top Waylon Jennings albums can be found at the start of the list. The Honky Tonk Heroes singer is also remembered by early '80s TV fans as the Dukes of Hazzard narrator and theme song originator. Though he became of member of the class of 2001 Country Music Hall of Fame, in true outlaw style, he chose not to attend the ceremony. If you want to know the best Waylon Jennings album of all time, this list will answer your question. Everything from Dreaming My Dreams to Waylon & Willie to Good Hearted Woman is included on this list.

If you look up the term "swagger" in the dictionary, you just might find a picture of Waylon Jennings alongside the listing. Beginning in the 1970s, Jennings started to top the charts with music that was heavy on guitar - and a pretty good dose of attitude. In this discussion of Waylon Jennings songs, we keep the focus on his solo work. After all, there are so many collaborations to consider - Jessi Colter, Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson among then. His 1987 "Audiobiography," A Man Called Hoss, was his best album for the label, but it was this debut single for the label that represented one of the most triumphant Waylon Jennings song performances of his later years, with a song originally recorded by Los Lobos.
