Album Brand New by Tomorrow. Brand New by Tomorrow Lyrics. Some things grow apart, some things grow together Some things never start, ours is turning into memories And guess there's no way to avoid a broken heart What I can say is, I will never go very far. We'll be brand new by tomorrow We'll be brand new by tomorrow. I used to love the games we played But now I have to stay on my side of the street I like the words we used to say to each other But now our vocabulary's changed

Brand New by Tomorrow is Money Mark's seventh solo studio album, which was released on February 5, 2007. The first single was "Pick Up The Pieces", which was co-written by Jack Johnson. The downbeat nature of the lyrics about a failed relationship saw comparisons by critics to Beck's 2002 album Sea Change. The song "Color of Your Blues" was used in the trailer for the 2008 documentary Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father, a film about the murder of Andrew Bagby. Color of Your Blues'" – 3:20.

Money Mark was due for a vocal album after the instrumental Change Is Coming, and he was long due for any kind of release, considering it had been five and a half years since that record. So, praise is due to Jack Johnson for green-lighting the recording of Brand New by Tomorrow on his Brushfire label after he heard some early demos  .

Brand New By Tomorrow" isn't quite Money Mark's most inspired piece of work - that would have to be 1998's "Push The Button. This album even sounds a bit like it, with its electic pop pieces. But "Brand New By Tomorrow" is more focused on its theme than on trying out new sounds. Part of that comes from Mark's voice - a little rough and gravelly, and even light at times, as if he is hiding his feelings. And he can twist electronica, guitar, drums and a bit of strings into whatever kind of song, and whatever mood. Money Mark is in good form in "Brand New By Tomorrow," which doesn't forge much new territory, but deserves kudos for being a musically adept, appealingly bittersweet piece of work.

Even Brand New By Tomorrow, a full disc of soft-rock tunes released on folkie Jack Johnson’s Brushfire label, often zags where another, less playful writer’s album might zig. The opening Color of Your Blues floats on an Augustus Pablo-esque melodica line, while Summer Blue grafts a noise guitar solo over its lite-jazz groove. Though Brand New sometimes comes off a bit like what would’ve happened if Elliott Smith had gotten into trip-hop, the songs bear more of a puzzled demeanor than a hurt one. But they sink in surprisingly deeply after a few spins. In addition to his duties as Beastie Boys keyboardist, which have made him all but essential to the trio’s sound shapes, Money Mark (Ramos-Nishita) has made four solo albums since 1995. Alternating between globe-spanning instrumentals and s, they each bear the marks of his intelligence and humor.
