Analyse this chemistry Producing poison and Creeping in your veins For the love of blood The poison slowly spreads Through the body and the mind Close your eyes and drop your things Be ready to fly. You are now high In the sun, burn You're away, alive On the moon, round.

With their sixth album, Magma, they continue to traverse to further lands that are so eloquently dominant over the ocean of modern metal bands out there. Just like the layered tectonic structure of the Earth, Magma has been crafted upon foundations of varying emotions. On the surface you've got Gojira simply evolving their hammering sound into more simplistic rhythms, like ‘Stranded’, while sounding just as heavy as before. But, beneath the surface is a natural ebbing progression that lies deep in the roots of the Mt.
Magma sees the band takie a departure from their technical death metal roots and exploring groove, melody and atmospherics in ways that they've not delved into before.
