Daryl Hall John Oates - Ooh Yeah! download album

Ooh Yeah! is the thirteenth studio album by American pop music duo Daryl Hall & John Oates, issued in 1988. The album was their first to be released by Arista Records. Though it went platinum and produced a hit with "Everything Your Heart Desires", it charted lower and sold fewer copies than the band's previous albums. Arranged and Produced by Daryl Hall, John Oates and Tom "T-Bone" Wolk. Recorded by Mike Scott; assisted by Gary Wright.

Daryl Hall & John Oates. From 1980-1984, the Billboard chart could have been dubbed the Hall & Oates chart for their seemingly never ending assault of number one singles (amazingly, they never had a number one album). However, after Big Bam Boom and their live pre-sabbatical At the Apollo, Hall again embarked on his solo album for six/seven years and the overblown Three Hearts and its happy ending machine were born. When they returned on Arista in 1988, they delivered a very good album in Ooh Yeah. But the legendary Hall & Oates were treated as comeback artists

Music fans and critics alike treated 1988’s Ooh Yeah! like a comeback bid. The duo’s previous studio album, Big Bam Boom, had been released just shy of four years earlier. However, Daryl Hall’s second solo album (1986's mystifying 3 Hearts in the Happy Ending Machine) had perhaps given the impression that the duo were finished. From their first hit in 1974 through their heyday in the '80s, Daryl Hall and John Oates' smooth, catchy take on Philly soul brought them enormous commercial success - including six number one singles and six platinum albums.

Daryl's stiff had nothing to do with it. Of course not. 'Cept that both records do overdo the overdubs, less fulsomely on this very model of second-hand black than when Daryl calls all the shots, but fatally nevertheless. I dare you to make out hitbounds like "Missed Opportunity" and "Rockability" or talismans like "Downtown Life" and "Keep On Pushin' Love" in the time it takes a music director to push reject. The album came out in May. It's dropping out of the top 200. It's not platinum.
