Utah Saints is the self-titled debut album by British electronic band Utah Saints. It was released in the United States in 1992 on London Records, and in 1993 the album was released in the United Kingdom on FFRR, featuring a different track listing, cover, and two additional songs. The album reached number 10 on the UK Albums Chart; singles released from this album include "Something Good", "I Want You", and "What Can You Do for Me".
Utah Saints are a electronic band based in Leeds, England (originally formed 1990 in Harrogate, North Yorkshire). The band had a string of hit singles in the British pop charts in the 1990s, and were notable for their extensive use of sampling technology - in particular, their practice of manipulating samples from mainstream pop and rock songs and combining them with contrasting dance beats. Utah Saints have also gained a certain notoriety for the long gap between releases - their follow-up, Two (2000), came eight years after their debut (1992). They were managed by John MacLennan.
Utah Saints self titled 1992 debut album included many tracks that contained samples of existing well known tracks including Something Good which contained Eurythmics- must be a angel sample, What Can You Do For me contained Kate Bush's-cloud busting sample and Believe In Me sampled Human League’s Love Action(I Believe In Love)& Do You Wanna Funk by Sylvester, My Mind Must Be Free contains Crown Heights Affair track You Gave Me Love among several other tracks on the album which contained samples. Utah Saints' self-titled full-length is full of joyous, electronic rave-ups. The album works most successfully when the band is using inspired samples toward their pop electronica goals. Something Good" and "What Can You Do for Me" have to be the most popular moments extracted from the album. They are also, by far, the album's best songs.
Utah Saints have been making music, DJ-ing and playing gigs around the globe since the birth of House music and are made up of Tim Utah and Jez Willis. e @ utahsaints ww. witter.

Notes
5-track CD-r in plastic slipcase, with basic black-and-white printed insert showing tracklist on front, blank on the back. This release has no title. Like their first album, it simply says "Utah Saints" on the front, so it's assumed that that is both the artist name and the release title. However this is unrelated to their first album- this is a sampler of 5 tracks from their second album, "Two".
The version of "Techknowledgy" here is longer than the version released on the album. The version of "Funky Music" later became known as the 'reg rad red rag mix', rather than the album version.
