CLANNAD is a Prog Folk, Progressive Rock artist from Ireland. For decades CLANNAD have embodied the spirit and dedication of the proverbial musical family, which just happens to be related by blood as well. While they have navigated a number of distinct phases and less distinct transitions, and are generally and correctly classified as a folk group, they have always been so much more.

Profile: Irish family group, started as folk/folk-rock/folk fusion in the early 70s, but with their 1982 album, moved to an unusual style of folk-based music typically involves much use of synthesisers and electronic production techniques. Fronted by Maire Ni Bhraonain AKA Maire Brennan, who recreated her vocals from "Theme From Harry's Game" for Chicane's hit "Saltwater".
