Weezer (also known as the Blue Album) is the eponymous debut studio album by American rock band Weezer, released on May 10, 1994 by DGC Records. It was produced by The Cars frontman Ric Ocasek and was recorded in Electric Lady Studios in New York City. The album was supported by three singles: "Undone – The Sweater Song", "Buddy Holly", and "Say It Ain't So", which brought Weezer mainstream success, helped by music videos directed by Spike Jonze.

Weezer, also known as the Black Album, is the thirteenth studio (and sixth self-titled) album by American rock band Weezer. Produced by Dave Sitek, it was released on March 1, 2019, through Crush Music and Atlantic Records. Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo first hinted at the album in April 2016, shortly after the band released their tenth album Weezer (The White Album)

Weezer may have become kind of a joke in the 21st century, which makes it easy to forget just how they got a fan base in the first place, and why that fan base continues to be disappointed. Blue and its eventual follow up, Pinkerton, are such honest albums (albeit in very different ways), that it's easy to see why people were so outraged with records as soulless as Pacific Daydream or more infamously, Make Believe. thats what makes an album perfect to me, and what makes the blue album a game changer in rock music and. a perfect work that i highly doubt will be surpassed. i listened to this album this morning. then again in the afternoon. i cannot get enough of i. .11. 3y.
