Greatest Hits is a 2001 compilation album by The Cure. The band's relationship with longtime label Fiction Records came to a close, and The Cure were obliged to release one final album for the label. Robert Smith agreed to release a greatest hits album under the condition that he could choose the tracks himself. The band also recorded a special studio album released as a bonus disc to some versions of the album

Originally with square black front sticker, yellow & white printed.

Acoustic Hits Deluxe. However, it killed me to know that this album does not include "Pictures Of You" and especially to know that Robert Smith selected the songs himself and he just didn't think that fans might want one of their most well know songs to be included. The two new songs that were recorded for the album are nothing special. I felt like they should of just replaced those songs with "Pictures Of You" it would've been more enjoyable. But you do get all their other great songs and it is very easily to get into.

Reviews about The Cure - Acoustic Hits (24):
Amazing sounds. pic disk are no longer inferior. This is 2017 anyway. My Edith Piaf pic disk was excellent too. Mine looks perfect and sounds perfect too. No warp, no hissing.
soon to be reissued on black vinyl. another rsd con
To be fair, it's not exactly a con job unless Record Store Day said that it was limited to ____ copies, never to be pressed again in any form. If the picture disc is never pressed again but there's a standard black pressing it's not a con job because the picture disc wasn't reissued. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think RSD said this title would never be pressed again regardless of the design used for the slab of wax.

Demand for this was really high so record shops had their orders cut. The ones I spoke to got less than a third of the quantity they originally ordered. I managed to get 1.
Hopefully this will be released on black vinyl in the upcoming year.
It will be released on june 30th, along with Greatest Hits:http://www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/the-cure-rsd-vinyl-to-get-wider-release/
I'd be really surprised if they didn't. It makes sense too.
ThatEddieHex, 3250 copies were pressed, and also the same for Greatest Hits/Lasse
heart of sky
Quite a lot of background noise for me, and warped, I will never understand why a picture disc would be used for a first pressing of anything on vinyl.
I see a pressing on black vinyl is around for pre-order.
Same here, a lot of hissing in the quiet parts, both discs are warped. A shame that they didn't made a standard vinyl pressing instead a shitty picture disc.
You should take it back and get your money it's not supposed to sound that way it's probably damage
fire dancer
How many of these were pressed? I was told in the queue on Record Store Day it was 4000. But I've seen no proof of that.
3250 Acoustic copies, 3250 Greatest hits copies, as it was said on official website.
3250 was the official number on the RSD website. I was able to pick one up.
About 3200 all around some stores only got 1 copy
actually a really really good sound quality. i am surprised. .....deep. stereo audiophile. great for a picture disc.
I didn't receive a download voucher with my copy, small detail I know.
Not a big problem, seeing as you can pick up the album on CD (great alternative to digital download) used for dirt cheap.
I've got it worse.I have 2 times side c and d in my cover :(
Only uk version had the download code .. Us press did not
Great record, sound quality is good. Unfortunatly my record was warped, but I believe it's fixable
My Greatest Hits album was also warped, seems to be a problem with this releases then.
I am happy with the sound quality. Not extraordinary, but definitely not a bad sounding record (in my opinion)
