Rush - Exit...Stage Left download album

Stage Left is the second live album by the Canadian rock band Rush, released as a double album in October 1981 on Anthem Records. After touring in support of their eighth studio album Moving Pictures (1981), the band gathered recordings made over the previous two years and constructed a live release from them with producer Terry Brown. The album features recordings from June 1980 on their Permanent Waves (1980) tour, and from March 1981 on their Moving Pictures tour.

Released October 29, 1981. Stage Left Tracklist. 1. The Spirit of Radio Lyrics. The album title comes from the catchphrase of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon character Snagglepuss.

An item from each of Rush's previous eight studio album covers can be seen on the cover of this live album. The owl from Fly by Night flies above Apollo, the man in the suit from Hemispheres, who stands next to the woman from Permanent Waves. The puppet king from A Farewell to Kings sits atop a box stenciled with the "Rush" logo from Rush. Next to him is a painting of the Caress of Steel album cover, held by one of the movers from Moving Pictures, with another mover standing behind. Next to this is Dionysus, the nude man from Hemispheres.

Exi. tage Left is a live album by Canadian band Rush, released in 1981. A video release with the same name, with slightly different content, was released in 1982 on VHS and later on Laserdisc, and in 2007 on DVD. The album was voted 9th best live album of all time in a poll by Classic Rock Magazine in 2004.

I used to believe "Exit. Left Stage" was their best live album until "Rush in Rio" was released, but still is an essential recording by the Canadian trio that has a place in every decent musical collection.

Rush live in Montreal performing top hits like "Tom Sawyer," "Limelight," "Xanadu," "Closer to the Heart," "In the Mood," and more. TIME MACHINE 2011: Live In Cleveland' is an evening with Rush performing their classic hits and features the legendary 'Moving Pictures' album, performed live in its entirety.

Stage Left the same year. The album turned out to be the polar opposite of its predecessor, 1976's raw and direct All the World's a Stage; in fact, the performances often sound identical to the recently released studio versions.
