Alice In Chains will be entering Bad Animals Studios in Seattle, WA next month to begin tracking their new album. Vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell recently confirmed the news to Good Celebrity at the The George Lopez 10th Anniversary Celebrity Golf Classic. He said of their current plans: We are just gearing up to make a record. We’ll be moving up to Seattle in about a month and record a record over the summer up there in the same studio we recorded our third record in. So it’ll be kind of fun, go home, make a Seattle record. Hometown boys in a hometown studio.

Two bits of good news here or Alice In Chains fans! First off, the band has announced the second leg of their North American tour, which will run from August 22 to September 15, and come right off the heels of a handful of international dates. So basically you've got from late April to mid-September to catch Alice In Chains around the world. Second off, the press release that talks about these dates also says the band is "currently putting the finishing touches on the much-anticipated follow-up to 2013’s album, The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here

But the turbulence captured on the album would soon overtake Alice in Chains. Starr was dismissed from the band during the Dirt tour due to issues with drugs, and Staley's vices proved to be an ongoing and worsening problem, resulting in the band canceling shows and even breaking up for a period. Both musicians eventually succumbed to their addictions, with Staley passing away in 2002 and Starr in 2011. 1. Alice in Chains struggled dealing with the success of breakout debut album, Facelift Dirt was produced by Dave Jerden, who had also helmed 1990's Facelift. He recalled the sessions for that first album to Music Radar: "They were hot and ready to go.
