Uncle Tupelo's landmark opening salvo is the group's most rock-oriented album, steeped more in breakneck speed, punk crunch, and guitar dissonance than any of their subsequent efforts. Indeed, despite the presence of mandolins, fiddles, and banjos - as well as inclusion of the title track, a faithful cover of the . Carter classic - the trio's vaunted country leanings are less musical than thematic on No Depression, thanks in large part to singers/songwriters Jay Farrar and Jeff Tweedy's acute depictions of rural, blue-collar life.

Tracklist: 1. Graveyard Shift, 2. That Year, 3. Before I Break, 4. No Depression, 5. Factory Belt, 6. Whiskey Bottle, 7. Outdone, 8. Train, 9. Life Worth Livin’, 10. Flatness, 11. So Called Friend, 12. Screen Door, 13. John Hardy.

To give you an idea of how relevant No Depression is, consider this: not only is the album eponymous with the Carter Family song - a country standard that Uncle Tupelo drew inspiration from - but so too is it eponymous to the genre forthcoming bands went under the banner of after drawing inspiration from the album and its legacy

No Depression by Uncle Tupelo tab. One accurate version. No abusive ads. Recommended by The Wall Street Journal. This is another easy bassline. Listen to the album to hear rhythms. Otherwise, it just repeats itself again and again.

I just discovered that i have a copy of this record, same barcode, ROCK 6050-1, that jacket is identical in every way to the black version i have but this version is peach vinyl with a bit of a swirl to it, i've had it for at least 10 years and is definitely not the RE. Does anyone know anything about this version? I'd really appreciate any info. thanks.
