Features Song Lyrics for The Nat King Cole Trio's A Portrait Of album. Album: A Portrait Of. 0.

A Portrait of Jennie More precious to me Than a masterpiece How ever famous it be. The portrait of Jennie Is etched on my heart Where her features have been Sketched from the start. Ah, the color and beauty of life And the glow of her spirit divine All cast in heaven's own design. With a portrait of Jennie I never will part For there isn't any portrait of Jennie Except in my heart. For there isn't any portrait of Jennie Except in my heart. Portrait of Jennie" Track Info. Before his international acclaim as a pop vocalist, Nathaniel Adams Coles built an indelible reputation as a jazz pianist in the groundbreaking combo, The King Cole Trio. Born into a musical family, young Nat Coles (later changed to Cole) recorded with his older brother, Edward, in 1936 for the Decca label. The four sides cut by Eddie Cole's Solid Swingers gave the general public its first glimpse of Nat's gentle yet lively piano riffs.

Reviews about The Nat King Cole Trio - A Portrait Of The Nat King Cole Trio (2):
This set is very impressive. So many songs, such great sound, from Nat's pre-fame days as the 1940s trio's smooth pianist, plus singing when needed. (There's a booklet explaining this part of his history.) Great UK product. Worth seeking out.
Pretty good recording for that age. No shellack scratches listenable.
