Tusk is the 12th studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released as a double album on October 12, 1979. It is considered more experimental than their previous albums, partly a consequence of Lindsey Buckingham's sparser songwriting arrangements and the influence of post-punk.

Fleetwood Mac has been often been called rock and roll’s most famous soap opera, since the band members’ love affairs and breakups (sometimes with each other) have inspired a great deal of their songs and most of Fleetwood Mac’s biggest hits. The band’s lineup has changed many times over the years, but Fleetwood Mac’s most famous lineup consists of singer Stevie Nicks, singer/guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, bassist John McVie, singer/keyboardist Christine McVie (John’s ex-wife) and drummer Mick Fleetwood, the only member who has been in Fleetwood Mac from the beginning. Christine McVie is the lead singer of this song, taken from Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 Grammy-winning album, Rumours. In the 1970s, easy-listening rock became a big thing, and You Make Loving Fun (a No. 9 hit in the . epitomizes Fleetwood Mac at its easy-listening best.

Fleetwood Mac’s own melodrama was brewing well before Nicks penned Silver Springs. She and Buckingham met as teenagers at a religious-group gathering; after high school, they became romantic and musical partners, eventually teaming up in the duo Buckingham Nicks. In December 1974, Mick Fleetwood called up Buckingham to join the already-established Fleetwood Mac. The guitarist insisted that he and Nicks were a package deal, and both would join and appear on the band’s self-titled 1975 album – their first international smash and . The album was nearly finished when Mick Fleetwood pulled Nicks out into the parking lot of the Record Plant, the Sausalito, California, studio where much of the album had been recorded. I knew it was really serious ’cause Mick never asks you to go out to the parking lot for anything, Nicks recalled in a 1991 BBC radio interview.

The Fleetwood Mac drummer described the star as a "great performer", The Sun reports. He said: "I like Justin Bieber, I've been to see him with my children. I'd say he's probably not going to fade away as much as some people think he might. Fleetwood praised the 'As Long As You Love Me' singer's interaction with his audience at concerts. He's a great performer, really savvy in terms of the way he approaches his audience. I thought he was really damn good," he added.
