The Deception is the seventh studio album by Namibian kwaito star The Dogg. The album is released by The Dogg's Mshasho Productions on 2 July 2011. The album features international artists such as South African kwaito star Brickz and Zambian singer JK. Other guest on the album includes Sunny Boy, Qonja, OmPuff, Tate Buti, PDK, Fresh Family, KK and Catty Catt. All songs written and produced by The Dogg.

In 2010, the album along with Virgins and Philistines was re-released on CD in the UK by Cherry Red records additional with bonus tracks. All tracks written by Terry Hall and Toby Lyons, except as indicated.

Deception was much less successful than its predecessor Virgins and Philistines, and only reached in the UK. It was promoted by two singles, both cover versions. The first, "Running Away", a cover of the Sly and the Family Stone hit, made and the second single, "She" (originally performed by The Monkees) didn't chart at all. In 2010, the album along with Virgins and Philistines was re-released on CD in the UK by Cherry Red Records with additional bonus tracks.
