Malicorne - Malicorne download album

Malicorne are a French folk and folk rock band formed in September 1973 by Gabriel Yacoub, Marie Yacoub (now Marie Sauvet), Hughes de Courson and Laurent Vercambre. They flourished in the 1970s, broke up three times in the 1980s but re-formed twice in the early 2010s and in 2016 were touring and working on a new studio album. Gabriel Yacoub and Marie Yacoub formed Malicorne on 5 September 1973 (naming it after the town of Malicorne in north-western France, famous for its porcelain and faience)
Malicorne is a pioneer French electric folk group founded in 1973 straight after the recording of Gabriel Et Marie Yacoub’s album Pierre De Grenoble, sometimes considered as the first album of the band. They split and reformed several times, each time with new line-ups accompanying the founding couple of Gabriel and Marie Yacoub. In 1988 the duo split and Malicorne stopped for good with the promise to never start again.
MALICORNE was founded in 1973 by French singer/guitarist Gabriel YACOUB and Marie YACOUB, after having recorded an album together. With several other musicians, MALICORNE released approximately 10 albums between 1973 and 1986. The band's speciality was French traditional (. folk) music, but revamped and updated with a fresher, more progressive format.
2. Dame Lombarde Lyrics. The band's speciality was traditional French folk music, played with a more progressive format.
This album has an average beat per minute of 111 BPM (slowest/fastest tempos: 83/127 BPM). See its BPM profile at the bottom of the page.
Fresh out of Alan Stivell's band, Gabriel Yacoub recorded the first album by his own group, Malicorne, and made sure that despite the fact that he, too, was taking the folk revivalist route, the group's music would come out as being very different. Mission accomplished.
