'Follow The Leaders', the first single from their 2nd LP, marks KJ's recognition of how the remarkable soaring rise of their early career had pushed them into the commercial arena with all it's pressures and demands that so clearly contradict the band's motivations but also provided the band with resources that allowed them to follow their artistic ambitions. Thus the lyric 'music to please the adolescents' was picked up by their early supporter, BBC DJ John Peel, and highlighted by him to emphasise his ongoing support for their music.
