The Bats - Raw Eggs download album
Though they could boast the rare luxury of having virtually all of their albums and major releases issued in the US, New Zealand's jangle-rock maestros The Bats, never caught on with a wide-scale American audience, even amongst indie/alt rock types. Their initial run spanned the mid-80s to about 1995, but in 2003 the band reconvened from a lengthy hiatus with their sixth proper studio album, The Bats at the National Grid

Yes, raw eggs are safe. One caveat here, you have to get your raw eggs from a reliable source. I am not talking about the store-bought, mass-produced eggs that come from unhappy hens. I am referring to eggs from organic, cage-free or free-range hens. Hens that are not cooped up indoors, with no air or light, fed crappy grain and not allowed any time in the great outdoors. These hens are sick, their living conditions are sick and subsequently their eggs are sick. In reality, the risk of poisoning from salmonella from even store-bought eggs is unlikely . Raw eggs minimize risk of allergies. Cooking eggs changes the composition of fats and proteins. The chemical shape of the egg protein is altered when exposed to heat and this can cause allergies.

Is it safe to eat raw eggs? Because I’m a professional chef as well as a chicken keeper, I get asked this question a fair bit. The answer i. ell, yes and no. It depends. To understand it better, we need to understand a little chicken anatomy. The cause for concern over raw eggs is the likelihood of poop coming into contact with eggshells-in the nest box or inside the hen’s body. As we know, eggs and poop exit from the same place-the vent-and most of us have gathered the odd poop-streaked egg and not really done much more than give it a wipe and cook it up anyway, right? I don’t worry about.

One common approach is to mix raw eggs in with the drink. After all, eggs contain high levels of protein along with other valuable nutrients and vitamins.
