referencing Passport, LP, Album, Gat, ATL 40 299. I second the emotions below. Passport and some of Doldinger's other output is well worth checking, especially as most of the original LPs are criminally under valued. It is easy to label these as jazz fusion, but there is definitely a funkier edge to them with a definite krautrock feel on some of them. Tracks like Uranus, Schirokko and Yellow Dream most typify the general style and I almost fell off my chair when I heard Jadoo, superb drums on that track. The triple LP Doldinger Jubilee is also a good one to get as it is basically a musical biography of his work up to 1973. Reply Notify me 3 Helpful.
