Broderick's composition style fits perfectly; evocative, and cinematic in its own right. It may be the connection to trains, but I feel something reminiscent of Jon Brion's work for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind here. Better than that though, one feels a story is being told through the music alone, and while what I've seen of the Clark's film is beautiful, this is an complete object in its own right
