Can - Ege Bamyasi download album

Ege Bamyasi is the fourth studio album by German krautrock band Can which was originally released as an LP in 1972 by United Artists. The album contains the single "Spoon", which charted in the Top 10 in Germany, largely because of its use as the theme of a German TV thriller mini-series called "Das Messer" (The Knife). The success of the single allowed Can to move to a better studio in which they recorded Ege Bamyası.

The latter song, which closes the album, is particularly fine, its sound hinting at an influence on everything from early Ultravox songs like "Hiroshima Mon Amour" to the hollower rhythms on many of Gary Numan's first efforts. Liebezeit and Czukay's groove on "One More Night," calling to mind a particularly cool nightclub at the end of the evening, shows that Stereolab didn't just take the brain-melting crunch side of Can as inspiration

Can. Released October 1972. Ege Bamyasi Tracklist. After the surprise commercial success of their single, Spoon, due partly to its use as the theme to German TV thriller series Das Messer, Can had good reason to record a new album. Hiring out a colossal ex-cinema as a studio/living space they had the freedom to create a more up-market LP. Despite this newfound freedom, the sessions were not as productive as they could have been.

Ege Bamyası is the fourth studio album by the German experimental rock band Can which was originally released as an LP in 1972 by United Artists. Cans Ege Bamyasi took quite a bit of time before it really started to grow on me. At first the album seemed really dull, bland, and strange without many redeeming qualities. I tend to be quite patient with certain albums, if I can’t get into it right off the bat I’ll go ahead and give it a few more tries. I think just about everyone will have to have this type of attitude when approaching Ege Bamyasi. I’ve owned the album for about six months now and even though I enjoy it I’m still not sure if it has fully grown on me. The aspect that makes Ege Bamyasi such a difficult listen is how the band.

By: Can (1972, Electronic).

Ege Bamyasi' is an excellent album. First of all Jaki Liebezeit's great percussion work is remarkable. This production is very groovy in a special mood. Ege Bamyasi can be considered a transitional album for Can. A weird mix between the raw avant-garde sound of the past and the hypnotic groove sound achieved on Future Days. Personally I just lack the energy and inspiration even though this was the period where Can could do no wrong.
