Melrose is the fortieth album by Tangerine Dream. This album was released in 1990 on the Private Music label founded by former Tangerine Dream member, Peter Baumann. The album further developed the instrumental pop style known from the previous two Private Music albums, Optical Race and Lily on the Beach. Edgar Froese's son, Jerome, for the first time appears on a Tangerine Dream album as a full-time member. This was Paul Haslinger's last album with Tangerine Dream.

While Got It Made touts a summery pop punk rhythm and sound from 20 years back that could be successful, it rides a thin line of being a nostalgic cash grab. This album unfortunately relies too heavily on old, naïve tropes to get through the sub-13 minute effort. There’s even a phone call interlude on opening track The Point with a jealous woman demanding Adkins’ manhood, ultimately getting pissed and wishing for his death. The segment helps push the track to become a dirtbag, degenerate version of Smash Mouth

MADE is a decidedly minor album: Barely 40 minutes, it has no guest rappers and its beats are entirely from Rap-A-Lot's house producers. But those beats- slow and heavy melodic monsters laced with soul-samples and organ-blurts- mesh beautifully and intuitively with Scarface's weary drawl. But MADE gains emotional force only when Scarface leaves that behind for the sincerity and vulnerability of a string of relationship songs. The Fix had a couple of truly touching love songs, but on MADE Scarface shows us the other side of romance, vividly documenting the end of a relationship on a couple of tracks. Go" is a list of one man's grievances, moving through trivial gripes and macho posturing toward serious problems: "You watch a nigga like I'm six years old/ How the fuck you think this shit gon' grow?"
