Rush - Power Windows download album
Power Windows is the eleventh studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released on October 14, 1985 by Anthem Records. After touring in support of their previous album, Grace Under Pressure (1984), the band took a break and reconvened in early 1985 to work on a follow-up.
referencing Power Windows, LP, Album, ANR-1-1049. Delving into further synth territory, Rush takes it a step too far on this album. Though returning to a much more Signals-esque album, the songs are much more spacious, if you have a knack for digital recording. Yes, this album was recorded, transferred, and mastered digitally; which really stinks if you have have a "remastered" version of the album. And THEN we have the crown of the album, what pretty much sets itself apart from every Rush song, Mystic Rhythms. Synth runs half of this song while Lifeson doesn't even sound like he's playing–being drowned out in the mix. The only thing good about this song is some of the really cool notes Geddy hits on the synth and Peart's drumming; the only two saving this song.
On this copy the album title is printed correctly on the labels: Power Windows - including the "s". Compared to Power Windows where the "s" is missing.
Power Windows, which is Rush's eleventh studio, album falls right in the middle of Rush's electronica synth era. Power Windows contains eight tracks, each one very different in its own way, spanning over a duration of almost fifty minutes with no song being under the five minute mark and two over six minutes (Marathon, Territories). These lengths are not like their older records like 2112 and have a tolerable length and most have continuous changing riffs and tempos, making it seem almost like a couple of songs into one, although some may feel some do go on for too long.

Power Windows is that rarest of animals - a perfect album. Every track and the mood of the album is electric. It is also one of the very best Rush albums. Rush blended electronics with the full power of traditional instrumentation to create something quite extraordinary. Also, Rush experiment further with the fusion of electronic and acoustic instrumentation

Peter Collins produced "Power Windows" for Rush and gives the album a cold and dark sound, unlike anything Rush had before. Upon first listen the album is somewhat unpleasant, but demands more listens due to its uneasy feeling it gives the listener. Power Windows" is definitely more synth-heavy than previous releases, but does lend itself to some pretty impressive guitar driven moments from Lifeson. Power Windows" was another popular release as it reached on the Billboard 200 chart, on the UK Albums chart, and on the Canadian Albums chart.
