A new version of Last. These Are The Good Old Days. Overview (current section).

What Rust Belt Lights does well, it does VERY well. I was initially going to say that Rust Belt Lights reminds me a lot of recent releases from Black Numbers bands Banquets and Luther, but given that RBL’s album was released last year and the latter two albums were released this year, perhaps it’s the other way around.

The final song, "The Good Old Days" is clearly a call to arms to all of us to not just look back at the good times we've had, but to realise that we can keep creating such memories by attempting to enjoy what we are doing now as well, thus creating more good old days. It's hard to pick standout songs here as it really is a uniform collection of work, but the fourth track, "Fortyfive," which was also on their self-titled digital single released earlier in the year, is one that seems more familiar and sticks in my mind as I continually play the album

Stop living in the past. Your glory days are far from gone. It’s crucial you should realize that we are more than this endless ocean of walking corpses destined to drift. We’re beginning to die without a chance to live. When I was young they said that I could do anything. Hitch my wagon to a star and never look back. For too long you’ve been sitting on a long lived lie. Why can’t you see that your time here is passing you by?
