Buddy Holly is Buddy Holly's debut solo album and his second album overall (following The "Chirping" Crickets in 1957), released in February 1958. Although billed as a solo record, the personnel once again features Holly's band, the Crickets, accompanying him. Approximately one year later, Holly was killed in a plane crash. It contains one of Holly's best known songs, "Peggy Sue". Brown Eyed Handsome Man" is a rock and roll song by Chuck Berry, which was originally released by Chess Records in September 1956 as the B-side to "Too Much Monkey Business.
