MASCOT PARADE is band that originated from Västerås, Sweden, formed in 2007 by Henrik Bringås and Staffan Andersson. Deathmatch" was their debut album, released in 2008, and here they are marching forward with their second, Cause & Effect. The Uninvited Guest, not of MERCYFUL FATE, stormed with a variety of grooves scorched by the low tuned guitaring and intense rhythm work. I had a feeling that I was listening to a TOOL song fronted by a KORN like vocalist.

Sweden has always been one of the most prominent countries carrying out its own style of Heavy Metal. Before that album was selfreleased by th. etalscraprecords. Their music can be described as Dystopic Metal or Heavy Music with melancholy melodies. On February 1st Mascot Parade released their second album 'Cause & Effect' on Noisehead records rockthistown.

Album Title: Cause & Effect. Release Date: Saturday, March 9, 2013. The starting point of Mascot Parade music can be found in the grungey stoner genre played by Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Sixty Watt Shaman and Kyuss and also in the savage punishing sonic assaults of High On Fire and Mastodon. Monolithic riffing to the bone comes at you when Lost in salvation, the dark Cause & effect and Bugs and hope crawl slowly out of your speakers, these are really heavy crushers. With the vibrant opener The uninvited guest and on through powerhouse tracks Devil/Angel and Norma showcase a solid hard rock vibe that'll rattle your braincells. Cause & Effect was produced and engineered by Chips (The Hellacopters, Millencolin, Dozer., who did a very good job.

Cause & Effect is the debut album by Cause & Effect, released in 1990. It scored two top ten dance singles and a Billboard top 20 singles hit with "You Think You Know Her". Released under the Exile Records label in 1990. Manufactured and distributed by Nastymix. The Echoing Green" – 4:12. Another Minute" – 3:35 (Vocals - Amy Struck). Something New" – 4:41. What Do You See" – 4:15. Farewell To Arms" – 3:56. You Think You Know Her" – 5:44. Nothing Comes To Mind" – 4:49.

I wonder if I’ll feel the same when I’ve heard this album. I really need to be whizzed off to a marvelous place after the bloody long winter we’ve had this season. To be honest I had kinda expected this to be more of a light v/s dark album, more of a soft and hard album but this turned out much more metal than I had expected. Sure I can imagine parts of it being Tool-like but I had my heart set on more of an Opeth kind of record, more of a progressive hardrock/metal record.

Imagine Tom Petty writing songs to IRON MAIDEN. How absurd it may sound these are the cornerstones of MASCOT PARADE. Their unique mix of metal, rock, melodies and unexpected arrangements will stir the interest of many listeners. Take our word for it!".
