Hikaru GENJI SUPER 5 (光GENJI SUPER 5) was a Japanese male idol group produced by Johnny Kitagawa under Johnny & Associates. Their first single, Melody Five, was released on October 7, 1994 under Pony Canyon. This group disbanded in 1995. Their last tour was on September 3, 1995 at the Nagoya Rainbow Hall.
Hikaru Genji (光GENJI) was a Japanese idol boy band that was formed in 1987 and broke up in 1995. From 1994 to 1995, the band was known as Hikaru GENJI SUPER 5. Uchiumi Koji (内海光司). Morohoshi Kazumi (諸星和己). Sato Hiroyuki (佐藤寛之). Yamamoto Junichi (山本淳一). Sato Atsuhiro (佐藤敦啓). Originally a member from GENJI, he left just before the formation of the group. Akasaka was hired in his place.

Hikaru GENJI (光GENJI) was a Japanese pop group under the Johnny's Entertainment label that was active from 1987 to 1995. In 1994, Oosawa Mikio and Sato Hiroyuki left the group and the remaining members formed HIKARU GENJI SUPER 5 which disbanded in 1995. Today, only two of the original members remain in Johnny's Entertainment: Uchiumi Kouji and Sato Atsuhiro. Uchiumi Kouji (内海光司). Satou Hiroyuki (佐藤寛之).
