Definitely the best Priest album, and one of the best metal albums. There really isn't a single track on here that's bad, all of them are fantastic. Painkiller is the heaviest this band has ever gone. Judas Priest establish themselves in a unique position setting a bar impossibly high with complex songwriting, intricate musicianship and a vocalist that sounded unlike any other up until that point in time.
