Tear Gas is the fourth album by The Jacka consisting of 19 songs. It sold 5,800 copies in its first week of release, charting at on the Billboard Top 200. This album had two singles, "Glamorous Lifestyle" with Andre Nickatina and "All Over Me" with Matt Blaque. An additional video was also made for the Freeway assisted track "They Dont Know". All Over Me" featuring Matt Blaque peaked at on the Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, making it both artists' only charting single to date.

This is considered the 3rd solo album by Jacka from the Mob Figaz. The album was widely acclaimed in the streets, particularly in the Bay Area, and included a wider reach of music and features from artists who were not typically associated with the Mob Figaz, including Zion I, Devin the Dude, Andre Nickatina and Paul Wall. The album was released a few years before a number of police actions involving the death of African Americans, including Oscar Grant at the Fruitvale Bart Station in Oakland

It went on to become The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, without David Batchelor on vocals.
