Naked Eyes is a British new wave band that rose to prominence in the early 1980s. The band had four US top 40 singles, but had little commercial success in their homeland. Their first hit, "Always Something There to Remind Me", was a cover of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David standard. The band had subsequent hits with their own compositions, "Promises, Promises", "When the Lights Go Out", and "(What) In the Name of Love" in the United States.

Reviews about Naked Eyes - Naked Eyes (3):

There are two versions of the US pressing. One has the original UK version of Promises Promises with a running time of 4:36. While the other has the more common, US remix with a running time of 3:45. There doesn't seem to not be a note anywhere about this at all anywhere on the Web!

Picked up the US-version LP used recently and it has been in constant rotation ever since. Much deeper and textured than the two "hits" I remember. "Emotion in Motion" is simply an amazing track.

An excellent and underrated classic melodic synth-pop masterpiece with great song writing and memorable, danceable catchy tunes which I never tire of. A virtually perfect aural orgasm of lush, upbeat, melodic listening that still ranks as my Top-10 favorite of 80's new wave synth-pop. If you don't already have this album....get it, as it's an 80's new wave must-have that no 80's new wave pop lover should be without.
