Complete your The Symphonic Rock Orchestra Wallenstein collection. The fourth Wallenstein was both a distillation of what had gone before, as well as step-on with a lighter mix of symphonic rock, becoming more prog than Krautrock. Aside from the now distinctive Jürgen Dollase song style, elements as diverse as Van der Graaf and Pink Floyd could be heard within the music. Dainty poetic songs counterpoint the often more dark and deep music, with lots of surprises throughout. In all a lovely album that fuses many genres and styles into something new. As such it was the end of an era for Wallenstein.

Stories, Songs & Symphonies is a music studio album recording by WALLENSTEIN (Symphonic Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 1975 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Titled "The Symphonic Rock Orchestra", Wallenstein, on this, their fourth studio effort, show us that they had not lost track of what makes for a great Wallenstein record, and in the same breath, produce some refreshingly newer creative elements that make Stories, Songs and Symphonies delightful.

Saturday, June 2, 2018. Wallenstein - 1975 - Stories, Songs & Symphonies. Wallenstein 1975 Stories, Songs & Symphonies. This was certainly the most overtly orchestral effort yet by Jürgen Dollase and company, as befits a band that liked to call itself (to their eternal shame) "The Symphonic Rock Orchestra". Dollase's vocals are, as always, an acquired taste, but his hand at the grand piano is strong and sure, without any of the empty pyrotechnics practiced by other keyboard wizards at the time.

Mix this with the symphonic blend of Jürgen's keyboards and newcomer Joachim Reiser's violin, and a new Wallenstein sound resulted. Away from Kaiser's guidance however, after signing to RCA, Wallenstein soon started to pale
