Charlie Rouse - Bossa Nova Bacchanal download album
Complete your Charlie Rouse collection. If you are into Bossa Nova don't overlook this album. The music is great, and this VMP pressing sounds rather good for colored vinyl and a (probably) digital source. Of course the sound of this pressing is of noticeably lower quality than you will find on Analogue Productions or Music Matters Blue Note reissues (generally speaking as neither has pressed this specific album anyway) but it sounds much better than any of the 75th anniversary Blue Notes I have owned.
Bossa Nova Bacchanal (LP, Album, RE). Blue Note, Blue Note Collectors' Item Series. There is absolutely no reason for this set to be spread across four record sides. I want to chill and listen to an album, not an album essentially broken into single LP format. Reply Notify me Helpful. Wow. Just an incredible pressing.
Bossa Nova Bacchanal is an album by American saxophonist Charlie Rouse recorded in 1962 and released on the Blue Note label. The CD reissue includes on bonus track recorded in 1965.
Unlike Getz, Rouse didn't feel he needed to be a purist about it, and welcomed all sorts of Afro-Caribbean variations into his music.
