A 22-track compilation that includes the entirety of 1990's Alpha Cue album along with a dozen unissued cuts, Swoon follows the traditions of Algebra Suicide's previous work: with electric guitar, bass, synths and percussion, Don Hedeker creates a tailor-made minimalist foundation for singer/poet Lydia Tomkiw, whose free-form narratives carom off the music more like recitations than like.
