I Raminghi biography Raminghi were a proto-prog band from Bergamo Italy near Milano. The group was led by bassist and vocalist Franco Mussita. Mussita apparently began his pop career in the early 60s as the CD booklet has great photos of his early band I Nomadi. 'I Raminghi'' was a band that deserved to make a second album and solidly define their trademark in the Progressive scene, but anyway ''Il Lungo Cammino Dei Raminghi'' it remains in times like a good Psych/Progressive albums.
Members: Angelo Sartori, Angelo Serighelli, Franco Mussita, Romeo Cattaneo.

I Raminghi were a little known Italian band who released this LP in 1971. I'm ging to grab this one in hopes that it sounds like Goblin. In which case, I know what I'm listening to before bed every night. I wonder if anyone truly knows just how many lost-to-time great albums from the 70s are just floating around out there.

The long waited 2005 official CD reissue of their only album also includes a full 1975 live CD. This shows the strength of the group in concert and also includes a small surprise, the unreleased Mi svegliai al mattino, later recorded as Zora in the album of the same name by Antonius Rex. In their long career, ended in the second half of the 70's, I Raminghi had many line-up changes, all around the leading figure of "Herr" Mussita.

Raminghi is an italian folk-prog group from the early Seventies. After having used a couple of different names, the band, formed by bassist/singer Franco Mussita, changed its name into I Raminghi to record this sole full-length album. The band comes from Bergamo, and like many others, was halfway between a psych-inspired beat and early progressive. Their production was all released on the small Bentler label, consisting in three singles and an album, made between 1970 and 1975.
