Stevie Ray Vaughan - Playlist: The Very Best Of Stevie Ray Vaughan download album

Texas guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan seemed to come out of nowhere in the early '80s with a guitar style that was half Albert King and half Jimi Hendrix, and his then-refreshing approach to the blues and blues-rock has made him perhaps the most influential hard rock guitarist of the past two decades. This set collects several of the key tracks in Vaughan's too-short career, including classics Texas Flood, Pride and Joy, and Crossfire, making it a nice, concise introduction to his impressive catalog.

Stephen "Stevie" Ray Vaughan (October 3, 1954 – August 27, 1990) was an American guitarist, singer-songwriter, and record producer. Often referred to by his initials SRV, Vaughan is best known as a founding member and leader of Double Trouble. Style:MLA Chicago APA. The last studio album Stevie Ray Vaughan completed and released during his lifetime was, in many ways, his best. Free of his debilitating drink and drug addictions and with his primal influences fully assimilated, his post-rehab clarity of vision had finally set him on the path to developing a songwriting voice – just check Crossfire, Tightrope and The House Is Rockin’, which Jerry Lee Lewis really should cover – in the same league as his guitaring and singing, with a fresh new funk. Not the first great live album to be heartily disliked by its players (Dr Feelgood’s Stupidity ) or patched from end to end with overdubs ( Thin Lizzy’s Live And Dangerous ), this assemblage of 1985-6 Double Trouble shows, cherry-picking the repertoire from the first three studio records, blazes pretty much from start to finish – despite a version of Hendrix’s Voodoo.

I wouldn't venture a guess how many collection albums are out there for Stevie Ray Vaughan. Needless to say, the famed Austin blues artist has sold far more records since his death than he did during his brief life. As a result, it's very hard for a fan to know which of these CDs captures the Stevie Ray we all remember and want to find again. I feel that Playlist The Very Best of Stevie Ray Vaughan does this better than all the rest. It sticks to the songs that made him a legend and those that reflect his incredible guitar talents  . Love this album! Published on September 5, 2015.
