Usa CD+DVD · Remastered Discipline 2013. This album came originally in 1975 well after the demise of King Crimson. this was a good album with good songs and a average sound. For the 30th anniversary,' USA 'has become a great album with great songs and an excellent sound. So actually, we cannot have the same perception of both versions.
As Robert Fripp had done with King Crimson's first live LP, Earthbound (1972), USA is a single-disc concert package documenting the quartet during its 1974 swing through North America. As with its predecessor, USA was also issued as a sonic cenotaph of the concurrently defunct Krim. So insistent that the band would not be resurrected, Fripp concluded the LP's liner notes at the time with another three-letter epitaph: ".
The position of this album in King Crimson’s discography was pretty significant. Their hiatus came to an end 7 years later, with what is generally viewed as the 3rd KC era, consisting of remaning 70’s members Robert Fripp and Bill Bruford, and the addition of bass man Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel) and rhythm guitarist/lead vocalist Adrian Belew (Talking Heads).
