Liber Dogma is the tenth full-length studio album by The Black Dog released in 2011 on CD and vinyl. It was written and produced by Ken Downie, Martin and Richard Dust. The album "represents a radical shift toward dry minimalism, where the beat is pushed to the fore, served by pulsating bass lines and only a sprinkle of additional sounds for each piece

The Black Dog T-shirts became well known during the 1990s as photographs of celebrities wearing the shirts began appearing in national publications. For example, a photograph of then-President Bill Clinton jogging while wearing one was distributed by national wire services. Black Dog merchandise became part of the Lewinsky scandal, as items from the store were purchased by Bill Clinton and given to Monica Lewinsky. Marketing at The Black Dog was effective. After a few vinyl EPs on General Production Recordings, The Black Dog released its first full-length album Bytes on Warp Records on 15 March 1993. The albums Temple of Transparent Balls (GPR) and Spanners (Warp) followed. The music was often produced under a number of different names, such as Close Up Over, Xeper, Atypic, . Balil and the Discordian Popes.

Reviews about The Black Dog - Liber Kult (Book 1 Ov 3) (1):
Rose Of Winds
Progressive techno?? As much as I like black dog they put a sleeper up here. Richie Hawtin must be canning this somewhere. Allot of people will say most styles of techno are dead and gone but whether Black Dog is tying to revive it with thieir awesome production style or bring back progressive house as progressive techno is another story. While the epic tracks on their last few full lenths were digital techno monsters that sounded right this track sounds 10 years old. Surely a volume change (cool but) of one sound in an entire 6 and a half minute song make this a 2/5 let alone a 5/5. Dissapointing and dated strategy. A poor and yawning effort.
