Cerrone revived Kongas in 1977, producing the album Africanism, yielding a French single hit with their k version of Steve Winwood's "Gimme Some Lovin'". US label Salsoul Records had DJ Tom Moulton mixing and extending four songs off the original Kongas' 1974 album Afro Rock, releasing the new mixes as Anikana-O in 1978, while Cerrone released another Kongas album in 1979, the poor-selling Rocket In The Pocket. A final Cerrone production "Why Can't We Live Together" was released under the name Kongas in 1982.
